The security deposit on any of our properties is equivalent to the monthly rent plus an additional £100. To reserve any of our properties you will be required to pay a minimum of £250 towards this and the balance within 7 days. LET it complies with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme Regulations. The scheme ensures tenants are treated fairly should there be any dispute over deposit refunds at the end of your tenancy.
There are no additional costs for securing a property.
Our standard payment method is Direct Debit. This is a protected system direct from your bank account. This means you have the right to ask your bank for a refund in the unlikely event of an error. You can however also choose to pay your rent by monthly Standing Order, cheque, cash, debit or credit card however please be aware additional charges do apply where rent is paid by credit card or cash.
The deposit helps protect landlords against any loss or damage caused during a tenancy. In the majority of cases there are no problems. As all tenant deposits are now held with a registered scheme, it can take up to 28 days for a refund to be processed. This scheme ensures that in the event of a dispute regarding the condition of the property, you can apply to the TDS free of charge and your case will be reviewed by an independent adjudicator. They will decide the fairest course of action and distribute or return the deposit accordingly. The matter is therefore not only removed from the landlord’s control but also LET it‘s so that you can be assured of complete impartiality.
